However - the catch is that if you are on council tax benefit or housing benefit these will be reduced severely. I did it and ended up working for effectively only £20 per week on 16 hours due to the reduction in these benefits and i had to pay my bus fares out of this £20
It didn't work out for me as my mental illness got worse but it may be the right step for you
