i stared dying my hair about 3 years ago i have changed it qeit alot, its now a dark purple/red i want to get a very light blonde. does anyone no if this is possible???? does it wreck your hair very bad??? has anyone ever done thsi them selfs. anyone a hairdresser and ever done this to someones hair and can it b done. HELP!!!
It DOES damage your hair, if you go all blonde you can not use color because color does not lift color, so your only option is bleach. If you bleach your whole head it will not come out even at all, do a heavy chunky highlight leave it on for as long as possible without if breaking off. Then if its too light tone it with a semi-permanent
A few months ago I decided i wanted to go blonde. Im naturally a brunette. BAD IDEA! i went back the next day and they dyed it back to brown but its a screwed up brown cause it didnt cover all the blonde. If you think it'll look good then go for it but be aware. :)
it doesn't hurt your hair. If the purple/red color is dyed too then it doesn't really make a difference.
my friend went from dark brown to platinum blond.. she had to do it gradually, just keep foiling your hair.. It isnt as drastic and it saves your hair from completely dying by choosing the quick option (bleach)!
The only way to go blonde from dark is to bleach or strip the colour out of your hair completely. If you have been colouring your hair for years and it's been dark everytime, you have layers and layers of colour on the hair. I am a hair stylist and the only way I truly recomend going light, strip it gradually (sally's makes a great stripper), do regular conditioning treatments (thick moisturizing conditioner mask with heat applied), then begin to bleach GRADUALLY. If you do too much to your hair at once, expect it to become brittle and break. This is what we call dried, dyed, and petrified. Hope this helps!
bleach, then dye.
Today i colored my hair purple and it used to be black its very hard to get blk out of your hair we had to bleach my hair twice and then color it and my hair is very fragile right now and normally i have very thick hair so be very careful with the bleach and if you do bleach it bleach it once then wait a couple of days to do it again
My best friend is a hair dresser and it is possible to lighten the hair! What you need to do is get some hair bleach or you can go to any beauty supply store and buy some color stripper which will strip all the dark color from your hair! Since you are trying such a big change it might take more than one application which in turn can damage your hair. Be careful but it can be done! I have changed from black all the way to blonde before
If you do it yourself you are most likely going to end up with pink hair... Go to a professional it's going to be a bit pricey. And yes it does wreck your hair, you might experience some breakage as well.
