How is Billy Gibbons so amazing?

  • I just can't understand how one person is just so amazing. How can the Reverend be so awesome?


  • It's that deep, deep voice.


  • Billy carefully constructs solos to fit songs. And he knows what to leave out, to not overdo it. Billy concentrates on tone. One of my favorite rock/blues guitarists for those reasons.


  • Because he learned to play the guitar without ever seeing it as his beard was always in the way.


  • listen ive heard him on the howard stern show just before it went off the radio free market playin songs and blues on a cigar box guitar from around 1920 so i admire his musicality but jus like other dudes his age like jimmy page and or clapton or bloomfield or santana or beck or i could go on theres a documentary playin on vh1 about the electric guitar where it talks about the revival of the blues by the electric guitarists he's just one of the folkes that helped to keep the olde styles of the blues alive

  • 1. He's from my understanding reasonably close with a man named
    Riley B. King.

    2. He's one of the absolute few people who Mr. Jimi said, essentially,
    "Watch for this one. He's exceptional."

    3. He has the essence of tone DOWN, from a piece's composition
    standpoint. Ask Jeff Beck and Joe Walsh: Billy's an original.
