How do i stop people from calling me emo?

akmost ever single school day of my life ever since 6th grade ppl have called me emo chick im in 8th now and i have tryed every thing ive yelled at ppl ive kindly asked them ive told a trusted adult i talked to the school counciller for thhose who dont know what emo is

emo is a type of person that were dark clothes get emotional cuts themselves to get rid of pain(i only did that in 6th grade) hide there face from the world are invisible in big crowds

The only way you can stop the teasing is to dress less emo, if your hair is dark, lighten it up a little, cut back on the eye liner and wrist bands, smile more and lighten up. :)

Well, do you dress in black and cut yourself? And are you anti-social?? If so, stop doing it!! And just ignore people who call you this. If they know about you cutting yourself back in 6th grade, that's why they call you this, and they will do so until they feel like stopping... It is just how kids are! In the meantime, just ignore them and act like it doesn't bother you, when they see this, they will eventually stop.

Yeah, kids are very judgemental. Honestly the best thing you can do is ignore it - believe me I know you would have heard that a million time already but it is. Don't listen to people who tell you to change, or not look so 'Emo' because you don't need to change for anyone, if you change yourself to fit society you're just letting them win!
Besides, 'Emo' is only a stupid steryotype, it means nothing! If someone tells you you're emo just laugh at them and tell them it's better than conforming to society. If all else fails just remember they're just immature children who in a couple of years will have completly forgotten about all of this! I promise! :)
