Do you think English Soccer ain't good enough for Mexican players?

  • I mean are Mexican capable of playing in that league because Nery, Gio, and Vela haven't gotten the good playing time. Should they go to Italy, Germany, or Spain better.

  • i watch almost every league , well the big ones like
england, spain, germany, holland, france, itatly, fmf,mls

and i noticed a trend in players style and skill and country or orgin.

    for instance,
england has a fast paced, rugged style of play. and there are very few latins in the league. mostly western europeans and africans. so the pace of the african players and the toughness of the western european players blends to make that style of play.

spain is more flash and skill and less tough then the english league. and most of those players are spainish and latin players from almost all latin countries. very few african and western europeans.
(western europeans are people from - england- ireland- scotland- wales- ect.)

italy is full more of a defensive league with low scoring games and tons of brazilians and some argentines.

germany and netherlands are almost the same style except the german league has higher skill players mixed in.
but both leagues are full of all types of players from all over the world except africa. i rarely see a african player in these leagues.

so the trend i noticed was the countries were importing certain style players form certain countries.

africans are big and strong with speed and a lower skill level then others.

brazilians are big, strong, fast, and highly skilled.

argentina has smart and semi strong and semi fast players but are also highly skilled.

and mexicans are a blended bunch,
we are strong, fast, skilled, smart, but not as much as the africans or south americans but we have all traits.

pardo- smart- strong- skilled- but slow
marquez- strong in air but slow on his feet
nerry- fast and skilled but not smart
bravo- fast and athletic but not really skilled in futbol(poor finishing skills)
guardado- fast- smart- skilled, but not strong.
those are just a few examples of players.

  • The English League is considered the best in the world so I don't think Mexican players think it's not good enough for them. I think a lot of them would be successful. The reason the ones you mentioned don't get a lot of playing time is because their positions are extremely competitive and they are young. I think many of the Mexican players that are in Europe now would probably do a good job in the EPL.

There are several reasons why there's not a lot of Mexicans playing in the EPL.

One, it's extremely competitive because it's a league that attracts the best players from all over the world so many Mexican players would have better playing time in other leagues than in the EPL.

Two, Mexican players earn much better in the Mexican League that they would in the EPL. Unless you are talking about high-profile player, Mexican players are better off playing for their home league than for the EPL.

  • Nah, they are not getting enough time to get used to the style of playing. Vela and Nery just need more playing time, thats all.Gio, on the other hand, has been in a slump for a while.

  • I believe that if a [player is good enough, then he will get a game, if the space for him in his particular position is available.
Maybe a club with a known rotation policy would be better, but the cream always rises to the top.

  • they just need a chance..thats all, once they get used to the system it will be just cool!!hahaha

  • English teams are just jealous of our skills thats why they dont let them play.

  • No, when someone wants to be superstar, he does the best of him for making that dream come true, maybe those guys need less publicity and more work.

  • dont think it matters where they play
over all Mexican players are alot shorter than other soccer players
(not that it matters or maybe it does)
but Europe has a different style of play that only Brazil and Argentina have figured out
but the league in Mexico is one of the most exciting league in soccer today.......My Romania has only a handful of players playing out of Romania
that being Cristian Săpunaru for Porto (not sure who much playing time he gets but im sure hes a starter)
and Adrian Mutu who is the superstar for Fiorentina
and mid fielder from Inter Chivu

  • i think they can shine anywhere

  • I don't think, I know that every single living person on this planet should be able to play any single sport ever made...
    but thats just my opinion..

  • NOT REALLY IS JUST THAT THE EPL IS A VERY FAST PACE SOCCER AND IS HARD TO ADAPT TO ESPECIALLY IF U ARE ATTACKING MINDED PLAYER I THINK ITS ALWAYS EASIER TO DEFEND THEN ATTACK FOR EXAMPLE I THINK THAT SOMEONE LIKE MAGALLON, GUTI ESTRADA, OSCAR ROJAS WOULD REALLY DO GOOD IN THE EPL BECAUSE OF THERE SPEED AND GREAT DEFENSIVE SKILLS AND I WOULD SAY IT IS ALWAYS EASIER FOR A DEFENDER TO GET ACCLIMATED TO A LEAGUE FASTER THEN A MID OR A FORWARD IN THE CASE OF GIO, NERY AND VELA
