Does anyone start getting nervous before they fight?

  • Because when im about to get into a fight with somebody or somebody is in my face than my heart starts going crazy. why is this?


  • Yeah the other answers are right. What I do is listen to music to pump me up, or think to myself that everything will turn out ok. But .. it's normal.


  • It is called adrenaline. It is a hormone that gets released into your bloodstream when in an exciting situation.


  • It's you being nervous, I get that too every time I spar and I get sick to my stomach. I tried to relax and now I'm working on that. But that happens to every fighter so it's normal.

  • i do too, maybe its because i dont fight often, but usually i only get nervous when i dont know if i can beat them, if they're small or not that great at fighting, i know i can whoop them

    but yea, maybe its just youre addrenaline rushing and youre heart beats faster, idk exactly


  • Yes it's your adrenaline being released into your blood stream. It's a normal human reaction. Every fighter gets nervous before a fight regardless of how experienced they are or how many fights they had. But actually, a fighter who has fought a lot in his history won't be as nervous as to fighters who haven't fought as much yet. I mean no lie, I get nervous when I get in the ring. But it's bad to be too nervous because you'll tire yourself out before the fight even begins so try to remain calm and relaxed no matter what difficult situation you are in. A good way to get rid of your nervousness is to actually get in the ring and spar a lot with others as much as you can because eventually you won't be as nervous the first time because you already know what to expect. Obviously you're going to get hit and hurt in there and it's a fact you have to face.
